The silent scream
Have to make this note with a sad start. Ever since I published my dragon poem, I was little skeptical about how people are gonna take it and interpret it. I received mixed reviews for it as they feared to openly comment on the wildest sexual desires of a woman. We scream our hearts out for being treated equally though we tend to judge a human`s basic rights to express their sensual side. We live in a society which questions a girl`s viewpoint and creativity in term of how her mind whirls and how she explores her body through sex. I believe that's just the purest form of humanly pleasure the same as you enjoy your hot cup of morning coffee :). It burns when your same clan calls it a "desperate move" to jot down such "filthy things" and publish it over the internet. It indeed exudes to the core factor that I am still unmarried and it is a taboo to talk or to have a sexual opinion for myself. For the mighty souls who consider it as a dirty piece of art, thanks for being such a good motivation and I would never stop my creativity for such naive inhumane comments. Before I prawn into my blanket, my mind takes a nosedive to the ocean of lust to wander and unlock new levels of my wildest, kinkiest thoughts to write for my new work. Till then nothing is gonna stop me from that and faith in humanity shall be restored. ! :-)
I loved that analogy - Purest form of humanly pleasure, the same as your hot cup of morning coffee! This is a South Indian Freud version haha!
ReplyDeleteSex & Physical desires, which I think are the most innate of them all, are projected and hyped up as something very gross!
How foolish and futile it is, to suppress the millions of years of evolution and wiring that makes us all desire pleasure.
In our society, everyone is supposed to live a life of an ascetic in public view. This is regressive and against the tenets of freedom!
I'd go a step further and say Right to Desire (Physical & Sex in this case) is as much a fundamental right, as is Right to Live & Right to Privacy!
Also,You’ve my total and sincere respect for coming out open - with that admission about the urge for one of the most primordial of our behaviors – Sex! Millions of years of genetic evolution and wiring can’t be overridden in one go. In a society that’s so judgemental of it, it really does take raw nerve to open up and admit. Like I said, respect! More power to you :)
